Tyga released his oft-delayed The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty on Spotify for free as a surprise last week, though only available to stream. A few days later, on a Friday, it was made available on iTunes. Update: Tyga responds to Complex about the low sales, see what he says in the gallery above. Back in June, Troy Ave released his Major Without A Deal album on iTunes on a Friday as well, which because it was in place of the traditional Tuesday release, resulted in only 3 days worth of “first-week” sales, since Nielsen Soundscan closes their tracking on Sunday nights for the week. The result was 4,373 units sold in those 3 days for Troy, something he caught a ton of flack for on social media. Tyga now has him beat, though.
